What does "Power-on Reset" indicates on the SH7705 hardware manual?

Latest Updated:03/23/2009

Question:

Does the "Power-on Reset" described in the table A.1 "I/O Port States in Each Processing Reset" on the appendix of SH7705 hardware manual indicate the state in the middle of power-on reset or the state immediately after the power-on reset?

Answer:

The "Power-on Reset" described in the table A.1 "I/O Port States in Each Processing Reset" indicates the state of each pin in the middle of power-on reset (When RESETP is in low level).

In the SH7705, the values of pin PTJ6, PTJ1, and PTJ0 are different depending on the state in the middle of power-on reset or the state after releasing power-on reset.

(After it is switched to the port by pin function controller (PFC), it follows the value of port J data register.)

Please refer to the notes in the table A.1 "I/O Port States in Each Processing Reset" on the appendix of SH7705 hardware manual for the details.
