Is dummy write (H'FF) to verify address done by byte unit?

Latest Updated:03/25/2009

Question:

As for the verify flow on writing/erasing of F-ZTAT microcomputer, is the dummy write(H'FF) to verify address done by byte unit though verify data is read-out by long word?

Answer:

The dummy write to verify address is necessary processing to read out verify data.

The latched addresses data can be read out by reading verify address after dummy write is done, and a certain period of time (tspvr) passes.

The dummy write can be done for the only first one byte. There is no problem even if the dummy write is done in word/long word.
