What is MAX value of output voltage when VDD is 1.8V for the bottom cell?

Latest Updated:12/01/2011

Question:

Regarding the DC characteristics of the uPD780021A Data Sheet, what is the MAX value of the output voltage when VDD is 1.8V (IoL = approx. 500μA) for the pins in the bottom cell (P00 to 03, etc.)?

Answer:

In a small-current area of this level, the output voltage can be considered to be almost proportional to the output current.
Therefore, since the voltage is 0.5V at 400μA, it is considered to rise 0.125V at 500μA, becoming approximately 0.63V.
If this value needs to be guaranteed, this can be done through special specifications.
