Will the configurations set up be carried over into e2 studio ?

Latest Updated:11/10/2015

Question:

Will the configurations set up by the code generator be carried over into the e2 studio when I import a project (.rcpe file) created with Cubesuite+ or CS+ to the e2 studio?

Answer:

The configurations of peripheral functions which have been configured by the code generator are carried over.

However, you will need to transfer the files of source code, since the destination folders when code is generated differ. The files within scope differ with the device you are using. Refer to the descriptions under (1) to (3) below for details.
If you re-execute code generation in the e2studio without transferring the source files, code in a file with the same name will be generated in a folder other than that for the code you are using, and this will lead to an error when you build the project.

(1) In the case of the following devices:
RL78/G12, RL78/G13, RL78/G14, RL78/G1A, RL78/I1A, RL78/L12, RL78/F12, and RL78/F14

When reusing code which was generated by CS+ in the e2studio, transfer the source files which are in “” to “\src”.
You can transfer the files by dragging-and-dropping in the project explorer.

(2) In the case of RL78 family devices other than those indicated under (1):
When reusing code which was generated by CS+ in the e2studio, transfer the folders in “\cg_src” to “\src”, and transfer cstart.asm, stkinit.asm, and iodefine.h in “” to “\src”.
You can transfer the files and folders by dragging-and-dropping in the project explorer.

(3) In the case of the RX family
When reusing code which was generated by CS+ in the e2studio, transfer the folders in “\cg_src” to “\src”, and iodefine.h in “” to “\src”.

You can transfer the file and folders by dragging-and-dropping in the project explorer. To select a source file below the project folder for use in building after having transferred the file, select “Project -> Properties -> C/C++ General -> Paths and symbols”. Then, add the folders for reference on the “Source location” tabbed page.
