How to check connected debug tool(CS+)

Last Updated:06/28/2017

Question:

I am using the CS+ integrated development environment.
Can I confirm which type of debug tool (E1 or simulator) is connected when connecting a debug tool?

Answer:

The connected debug tool is displayed on the status bar of CS+ for CC.
When you create a new project, a simulator is set for the debug tool by default. [Example 1] Display when the debug tool is a simulator in the RL78 family
RL78 Simulator
[Example 2] Display when the debug tool is E2 emulator Lite in the RX family
RX E2 Lite
[Example 3] Display when the debug tool is E1 emulator with LPD connection in the RH850 family

Information after the debug tool is connected (other than the preceding information) is also displayed on the status bar of CS+ for CC. For details about the status bar after the debug tool is connected, see the relevant Debug Tool manual for each family.
