I selected and created a project for the 78K0/IY2 and 78K0/FY2-L microcontrollers under CubeSuite+ (or the ID78K0-QB integrated debugger).
When I specified [Debug monitor area size [byte]] as 256, connected the microcontroller to the E1/E20 emulator or MINICUBE2, and downloaded a program, the following error message appeared.
[Direct Cause of the Error]
Writing to the on-chip debug reserved area is prohibited.
This message is displayed when a user program has been downloaded to the area used by the debugger.
In this message, address:0x**** means that the location in the area for use by the debugger where the overlap with the user program starts. Review the area where the user program is to be downloaded.
- If you are not using pseudo-real-time RAM monitoring:
Specify [Debug monitor area size [byte]] as 260 bytes.
Note that when you are using the 78K0/IY2 or 78K0/FY2-L microcontroller, 4 bytes must be added to the size reserved for the debug monitor area.
- If you are using pseudo-real-time RAM monitoring:
Specify [Debug monitor area size [byte]] as 384 bytes.
Unlike the case when pseudo-real-time RAM monitoring is not in use, 4 bytes need not be added to the size reserved for the debug monitor area.
