Darlington circuit


This is a circuit achieved by connecting the two collectors of two bipolar transistors, and further connecting one of the emitters to the other transistor's base. As a result, the entire configuration can be made to function as a single transistor, and the current amplification rate hFE is the product of hFEof the two transistors.

The current amplification rate can be further increased through additional multi-stage connections.
