Latest Updated:07/17/2008

Question:

The MCU part name I am using doesn't appear in the device group selection screen when I install the emulator software on my PC. What should I select?

Answer:

It is not necessary to select an MCU part name on the device group selection screen.

The part name that appear in the device group selection screen are MCUs included in the selected device group that corresponds to the emulator software version that you are installing.

If the name of the MCU you are using does not appear in the list, confirm the following by referencing the E10A-USB emulator Target devices page.
Click here for the E10A-USB emulator Target devices page.

  • Check to make sure you have selected the device group that includes the MCU (target) you are using.
  • Confirm that the version of emulator software you are installing supports the target MCU.
  • For a specific few MCUs, a different part name must be selected when using the E10A-USB.
The MCU part name used for E10A-USB are listed at the bottom of the the E10A-USB emulator Target devices page. Confirm the correct a MCU part name here.

After confirming the above 3 items, continue to install the software as is.
