Specification order of user option bytes in linkage options (CC-RL)

Last Updated:09/20/2017

Question:

I am using RL78 Compiler CC-RL. I do not know how to specify user option bytes (such as the specification order and byte delimiter). How are they specified?

Answer:

When you specify user option bytes, arrange three hexadecimal numbers successively from the low-order address in the -USER_OPT_BYTE option of the linker.

(Example) The following explanation uses numbers for which arrangement is easily understood.

Note that these numbers are not values that can be actually stored in an MCU.
If values are stored in user option bytes as follows,
value 0x12 is stored in the 0C0H address
value 0x34 is stored in the 0C1H address
value 0x56 is stored in the 0C2H address
specify the following value in "user option byte value" in CS+.
  123456

The settings in the integrated development environment provided by Renesas are also the same as above.
