Last Updated:05/17/2017

What is the difference between the version number and revision number for a compiler?

The version number is the numeral immediately after the “V”. This number is increased in cases of dramatic additions of functionality or major modifications to an MCU’s architecture. The revision number is the number which follows the version number. It is increased with each minor revision.
