What happens if another interrupt request will generate?

Latest Updated:03/07/2012

Question:

For the condition when an interrupt routine A is already being serviced and the interrupt nesting is enabled: If an another interrupt request B with the same priority as A in service generates, will this interrupt routine B be serviced?

Answer:

No, it will not be serviced. This interrupt routine B will be serviced after completing the interrupt routine A.
After accepting the interrupt A, the value of the interrupt A's priority level select bits (ILVL0-ILVL2) enters into the processor interrupt priority level (IPL).If the interrupt flag is set to "1" in the interrupt routine of the interrupt A. The only interrupt with the higher priority than the IPL is accepted, so the interrupt B request with the same priority isn't accepted.
