Can I leave the BCLK pin open when the BCLK output is disabled?

Latest Updated:03/15/2012

Question:

The user's manual describes that when the BCLK output is disabled in the memory expansion mode, the BCLK pin goes to the floating state. On the other hand, the manual indicates that the BCLK pin can be opened when the pin is not used. Can I leave the BCLK pin open when the BCLK output is disabled?

Answer:

Pull-up the BCLK pin through resistors when you disable the BCLK output. The pin open connection described in the manual is a solution example when the BCLK output is enabled and the BCLK pin is not used. When you enable the BCLK output, you can leave the pin open.
