Are there reasons if consumption current fluctuates at higher values?

Latest Updated:03/01/2005

Question:

(Power Save)   In stop mode, consumption current may fluctuate at higher values. Is there any reason for this? [2005/03/01]

Answer:

In stop mode, consumption current may increase in the following cases:

  • The input pins are in floating state (level not fixed) because the unused input pins are in open state.
  • The input pin level of A/D input, etc. before entering stop mode is at midpoint potential (this level remains in stop mode).
