Low Power Timer Event Signal Output

Last Updated:03/08/2018

Question:

According to the user’s manual, the low power timer (LPT) can generate interrupts only during software (SW) standby mode, but is it correct?

Answer:

Yes it is.
The low power timer (LPT) can generate event signals to the event-link controller (ELC) only in SW standby mode, and not in other modes.
For this reason, LPT is only available as a timer for recovering from SW standby mode.
