If RL78 Accepts External Interrupt Requests That Occur Immediately After Reset

Last Updated:05/25/2018

Question:

If an external interrupt request comes in during reset processing after reset state cancellation (before the CPU startup), is it possible to accept that request?

Answer:

No, that interrupt request will not be accepted.
After a reset, the registers are initialized to the state of no interrupt request and no interrupt processing allowed, and therefore are in a state in which no external interrupt request can be accepted.
Refer to the user’s manual of each product to learn about the state following a reset input.
